The Story behind Honoré's Sisters
For five years, I worked in the demanding and wonderful world of makeup, at the heart of the wedding world. It was a job I was deeply passionate about: being part of the most beautiful day of a woman's life, enhancing her beauty, soothing her stress, sharing her emotion. And I think that deep down, I also needed this recognition: this feeling of being useful, of bringing something beautiful and positive to the lives of others. I gave of myself without counting the cost.
My days began very early, sometimes before sunrise, and often ended late into the night. I spent hours on the road, traveling hundreds of kilometers to reach my brides. I lived for my clients; I wanted them to feel perfect, confident, and radiant. But in the process of taking care of others, I ended up forgetting myself.
Over the past year, I've started to lose my sense of self. The job I loved so much had lost its magic. I could feel my mental health taking a hit. I was starting to dread each appointment, looking forward to my services being over. I, who had always loved making brides look beautiful and sharing their happiness, found myself counting the hours. I'd wake up tired, drained, and unmotivated. I was neglecting myself without even realizing it. That's when I realized I had to stop, to find myself again.
I needed silence, time to step back, time for myself. To think about what I really liked, what I wanted for the future. Because by being surrounded by people, listening, giving advice, we end up no longer listening to ourselves. We let ourselves be influenced, without even realizing it, to the point of losing sight of who we really are.
Knowing that I would soon be stopping my activity, I wanted to treat myself to some beautiful pajamas, to feel good and feminine at home. A simple, but symbolic gesture: that of choosing myself again. And that's when I realized that there was something missing in the brands of pajamas that truly represent self-love. Not pieces that were too basic, nor too "trendy", even less synthetic. But real everyday clothes, elegant, soft, durable and comforting.
This is how Honoré's Sisters was born: from a personal need that became a project of the heart. A desire to share my story and celebrate the importance of putting yourself first, without guilt. Pajamas designed for all mothers, entrepreneurs, single women, and wives who give without counting, but who also deserve to receive.
